On a separate note, and at least I noticed after the ND game as well, Calipari never gives the other team any credit…it was all about his team not executing, and having ability and playing up to their ability are 2 different things. Not one sniff of the well executed game plan or players for XX team stepped up etc…

Not suggesting ND or anyone else lives to gain respect from Calipari but thought it odd in this day and age…imo

Harrison is guilty of poor sportsmanship, not racism. By definition, a black guy can't call a white guy the N-word. It would be like a Jew calling a Catholic a k-ke. And if you notice, he didn't use the N word with an R ending, which is the racial slur anyway. He used the N word with an A ending, which is an ironic use of the word, turning the slur on its head. That term is often used among blacks. Sometimes it is extended to white people who are in the same crowd. As an example, my son played basketball in high school with black kids. They all called one another my n-gga" all the time. Basically, Harrison said the equivalent of "screw that guy" when asked about Kaminsky's performance.

IMO it is a coarsening of society which leads to more name-calling......which most minorities then get "overoffended" by and start calling all of us racists. Enough is enough. I do NOT use it. Cliff notes version, One cop was being investigated for stealing money. He is subsequently arrested and convicted for theft. During the course of this investigation they "Dumped" his phone. So they were monitoring his emails and text messages. They found some off color gay/racial jokes. The cops who joked with this cop are being fired. For the record these are off duty cops and their own personal cell phones. 1984 here we come!

So many people have come to this country after escaping all kinds of worse oppression around the world - Communism, war-torn regions, religious, ethnic and racial persecution - and have made incredible lives for themselves without boo-hooing, playing the victim role or taking a dime from any American.

Most of us "evil racist white people" and our ancestors weren't even in this country when there were slaves, so we don't owe anyone anything. Let's face it, Catholics faced incredible prejudice and persecution as they came to this country and have risen above it, even though it's still prevalent. It's a matter of effort, personal responsibility and not accepting the "victim" role. How many trillions of dollars have been handed out (since the 60's) to groups that historically play the race card? Did it help at all? BGI 348 is right, if there's a warped concept of personal/family life in your ethnic community, it's no one else's fault. Clean that up and you'll see the success and respect you want.
