My wife was telling me about a real sports episode she watched regarding Rod Carew. Apparently Rod had met Konrad when he was a young child and was an inspiration for Konrad to be a professional athlete.
Well Rod almost died from a heart attack on the golf course. Lived but his heart was weak and he wasn't going to live much longer.
I'm sure most knew that Konrad passed away from a brain aneurysm. However unbeknownst to anyone his heart was given to Carew.
Apparently there was a touching moment where Konrad's mother(who continuously listened to Konrads heart on his death bed) finds out that the heart went to Carew and tells him how he impacted Konrads life. She proceeds to meet Rod and is able to listen to Konrads heart.
