Afraid Nick Watkins is still gonna be Nick Watkins. The spots on that leopard don't change.
Watkins is a starter and is playing pretty well.
Word is that he had a a procedure to repair a partial tear in his meniscus. He may be "day-to-day" in an emergency situation, but realistically, he out this week and I'd be surprised if he was back before Miami in three weeks, maybe even Navy the week after.
It will be interesting to see what they do in in base defense. Does Jamir Jones cross train and become the third linebacker in the mix?
Does Bilal get some work there this week as an emergency backup?
People hate on Nick because he had one bad game this year. Yet nobody says a thing about Julian Love, who has defended some passes and had a pick 6, but has been burnt for what, 5-6 TD's this year?
They are all going to have to play better this week. This is, by far, the best QB / WR's they've faced. Really looking forward to the Crawford vs Burnett matchup in the slot. That's going to be a war. Two very athletic kids!
Watkins never turns around. I know you went to Georgia game but the game I was at (Miami of Ohio) the two things that stood out was Watkins not turning to look at the ball and how bad of a passer Wimbush was. That and the fact they played commercials for ND instead of showing controversial replays....oh...and the band is not as loud as it was because my one ear was deaf from the commercials...
