Just got call from a father of one of my old PeeWee kids. Told me that his son got Notre Dame offer today to play football. Adam is a rising senior this coming year. He is 6'3" 210 lbs and currently runs 4.4 in forty yard dash.
He was the fastest kid on our team and he was about two years younger than the rest. Father is great guy and also terrific athlete. Mom is a track star from Louisiana and probably still hold 400 yard dash record.
When he was on our team, the first time we gave him the ball, "Adam get the pitch to the right side a and just run your butt off." " OKay coach." Kid got the ball went right, put it in 6th gear and all we saw were vapors and dust in his wake.
Next play, Aaron, got your breath? Same thing but to the left. Same result about 60 yard TD. Didn't have to be a great coach to know to feed this kid the ball.
Aaron is playing outside linebacker and wide receiver.
