College football games ,changing channels. On the really good teams ,the defenses really step up in the second half . We really struggle and I just wonder . I don't see us close to being a good D . Players ,coaching ?

In my view, coaching. The question is this: Do the ND players get better for their time at ND? My observation is; most of them don't. That is coaching.

All you had to do is watch 1/2 of the Alabama / A&M game to know ND's defense will NEVER get there. I saw at least 3 A&M players get lit up by either the Bama D or the Special Teams. ND needs a Zibby or a Harrison Smith to return and Nicco isn't it (although a few posters think he's the second coming).

The defense has surrendered 10 points in the last two games....Its a bit early to say its turned around, but all of the sudden defense is not our issue....

Our players regress. Period. They all do but in particular defense.

Stagnate..then regression. This is a fact.
