It sure seemed to help themThe same thing as Nebraska in 2000. An opposing team with a huge fanbase made their first trip ever to ND Stadium, and their fans arrived in droves and paid top dollar for tickets.
ND stadium is not an opposing intimidating place to play for the visiting team and hasn't been for a very long time.It sure seemed to help them
Right, to GA fans whom I talked to a lot of them yesterday. They have been looking forward to this since the deal was done.Apparently it is special to a lot of people willing to pay top dollar to experience the event called ND football.
Were you guys really at home? I have never seem such even cheering at a home game. What happened?
Rigth ,top dollar to see their Team beat ND. You've hade one good year with the guy with the imaginary girlfriend. It use to be ND wanted to stay independent, well independent and irrelevant.Apparently it is special to a lot of people willing to pay top dollar to experience the event called ND football.
Beach...I just watched my DVR of your game. That was one hell of an impressive display of passing, receiving, and rushing. The change from game one to game two was amazing. And, despite the lopsided score, I thought Stanford looked pretty damn good in their own right. Would not be surprised to see an undefeated USC when they play ND, and a one loss Stanford when they play ND.Were you guys really at home? I have never seem such even cheering at a home game. What happened?
Greed. Were you guys really at home? I have never seem such even cheering at a home game. What happened?
Yep.The same thing as Nebraska in 2000. An opposing team with a huge fanbase made their first trip ever to ND Stadium, and their fans arrived in droves and paid top dollar for tickets.
ND has tremendous cash value because it's a nostalgia brand. The school has been cashing in for years without actually upgrading the product. The fans are just cashing in too. Why not? It's not like their loyalty is going to be rewarded.
Well they did. They also got whipped. When was the last major bowl victory? When was the last odd defying win? That lone OU game in 12?Man is my memory going. I thought ND played for the natty in 2013. Wouldn't that make them one of the best 10 teams in the last five years?

Ok I will concede that was one game I think we were underdogs. Maybe. I'm sure someone will chime in and scold me for not kissing the ring of almighty BK for that spectacular stop the presses win.
Let's look at how many times they've had an opportunity in games like that. Look no further than Saturday night. What happened? Predictable stale offense remains. Sitting players who should play and playing players who should sub. A quarterback who was pissing his pants. Yet the opponent had an equally inexperienced QB... That didn't even win the starting job in Georgia play with a million times more confidence.
And the show goes on.
Oh I wasn't speaking of you directly on the scolding...just that many on here apologize for BK around the clock and will point out the one lone day from a far away place and a far away land that the sun did shine on the dogs ass.I don't recall scolding you, it's just playing in the natty seemed to be inconsistent with your post. I guess it depends on what your definition of "years" is. I didn't research the game but wasn't UGA higher ranked? At east on the TV they had UGA at 15 and ND at 24. Not sure where they got that. You were favored in Vegas but schools like ND and SC are always over bet.
I not a Kelly fan at all. Don't know enough to know if he should stay there or not. But it seems to me that two good teams played and one lost by a point. Now if the BC game goes bad that's another story.
The thing that surprised me about the game was your O-line. I thought it among the best in CFB but your left tackle was beat like a drum and UGA had no problem with it.
I m not pretending to know about the big picture for ND. Your post just didn't make sense to me based on the natty. You lost but there are 65 or so power five teams that never got there. Sorry if you felt scolded.
My memory is going too. Didn't ND get curb stomped in that game ? I believe it was over by the 2nd quarter.Man is my memory going. I thought ND played for the natty in 2013. Wouldn't that make them one of the best 10 teams in the last five years?

Not to mention blowing significant leads in some of those losses, and a huge lead in last year's only notable win, Miami.I don't have a huge problem with our performance the other night. We played a very talented team and the game came down to the wire. Their defensive end made a game-saving play that made the difference. It is what it is.
Some of last year's losses were a lot worse - to mediocre teams like Michigan State, Duke and NC State. This loss doesn't compare to those. The team battled and just lost to a better team. I think we'll have a winning season this year, if we keep playing like that.
The networks did show one concerning stat, that ND is 1-7 in one possession games, or something like that. Not to mention blowing significant leads in some of those losses, and a huge lead in last year's only notable win, Miami.

We have now lost 8 of our last 9 games that were decided by one score (8 pts) or fewer. It's almost more torturous than losing games 38-0 under Willingham. The networks did show one concerning stat, that ND is 1-7 in one possession games, or something like that.
That's a bad statWe have now lost 8 of our last 9 games that were decided by one score (8 pts) or fewer. It's almost more torturous than losing games 38-0 under Willingham.
Thinking about it, Stanford was the last game of 2015, a loss by a FG on the last play, so that would make it 9 out of 10. If you are good enough team to be playing in a one score game, by happenstance you probably should win 4 out of 10, right? 1 out of 10 is beyond disturbing. That's a bad stat
short term memory on this board.Man is my memory going. I thought ND played for the natty in 2013. Wouldn't that make them one of the best 10 teams in the last five years?
It kind of is don't you think. Under BK often we get teased with a win.We have now lost 8 of our last 9 games that were decided by one score (8 pts) or fewer. It's almost more torturous than losing games 38-0 under Willingham.
bk really has no big game wins. Like I said from the beginning 8 long years ago, this clown is a fricking fraudIt kind of is don't you think. Under BK often we get teased with a win.
Under TW we were doomed coming off the bus....minus one Tallahassee road win against a lousy Seminole team only to fall on face the very next week against BC.
I had a friend who had one season ticket. He lived in Boston and when he could not make to a game he would give the ticket to me or another friend. When he did come in for a game especially USC he had his ticket and we would go around trying to get more tux. When we could find them they would be $50 to $100. This was during the Gerry Faust years. I still say the fans that sold out should lose their tux. Were you guys really at home? I have never seem such even cheering at a home game. What happened?

Thanks we'll find out which is the real team soonBeach...I just watched my DVR of your game. That was one hell of an impressive display of passing, receiving, and rushing.
