How do you know that he's a really good coach ?

Had 2 good teams with the previous coaches guys.

Went 6-4 when he started playing his guys.

This year would have been an excellent barometer for how good a coach he is but we'll never know.

He'll get his ass kicked for 3 years in Knoxville at least and blame his predecessor.

Meanwhile he gets rich.

Seemed like the program stalled this year and was edging downward. But than again his predecessor is floundering at Nebraska.

No I don't know if he's a good coach or a bad coach. This year would have been telling was my point.

I know Mahlzahn beat Saban 3 times------that's more than all the SEC coaches combined.

He would have been my choice.

Gus is underrated. Did a lot with less and was a foil to Saban, not many coaches can say that.

The job just isn't attractive right now to someone like Malzahn or Herman. They have buckets of money coming in and don't need the problems that are on the horizon there.

I mentioned earlier what a dumpster fire UT has become. Agreed Gus is getting paid well to do nothing but he may have been interested in getting back to the SEC. Money talks. whether or not UT would have ponied up is a whole different story

I have to say.......not only am I good at predicting ND outcomes, I'm pretty damn good at picking head coaches.
There were many who lacked respect for Josh and the potential of uTenn. The program had been turned around and the future is bright. The haters are going to hate!

1 year (and the year isnt over yet) does not make a turnaround. Even Kansas is having a good year.

We'll see how they finish and look without Hooker at QB

We'll see if he turned it around but gotta see the rest of this year and next year
