I hope this does happen because this is a great rivalry and great for college football when you got two traditional powerhouses from the same region playing each every year
Was always my favorite game of the year...Including USC. Love the early season barometer.
Not a surprise. The adults in charge at both schools seem to be less petty than the fans.
If we never play them again it will be soon enough for me! Let hem wallow I regional obscurity like they did in the years before The Irish put them on the schedule and on the National Map.
I'm neutral in terms of playing MIchigan or not, but I'm curious why ND stopped the series if only to try and resume it 2 years later????
Mainly due to the ACC contractual agreement of playing 5 schools each year -- had to work that in to the scheduling, so, Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue and others had to take a back seat until that sorted itself out.
Probably did not want to end it, but needed time to figure the ACC component in, while keeping USC, Navy and Stanford on the schedule.
I loved these games, and hope for the series to be renewed. However, Not at the expense of playing the home and home series with the likes of Texas and Georgia and Ohio St. Not a fan of the Purdue games, and would be happy to see UM replace them. I don't like the UM fans and I hated losing to them more than I like to recall, but these games have been among the most exciting in recent memory.
Again. Keep an open 'B1G' slot on the schedule. Go between MSU, Purdue, Michigan, PSU, Nebraska, Rutgers etc.
