I never see him make a tackle but he always looks good bullrushing his guy or trailing the play. He might just be a computer gathering data on our opponent and relaying the data to Elko who always has Tevon or Nyles or Martini or Tillery making the play. Even Watkins and the rest of the secondary know where to go.

I just commented that in that clip you've got of Coney demolishing that guy in your sig, Trumbetti was right there trying to punch at the ball. It really wasn't close, but its like he was programmed.

He was better as a freshman. Now having better careers earlier than later is a theme for players under Kelly sadly.... but he's gone absolutely MIA

He holds the point of attack well on run plays and always seem to be in a decent position. He won't amaze you with speed or pass rush techniques though. Not a terrible player honestly, but far from the player that we'd thought he'd become after his Fr year.

This is crazy. Trumbetti played some WDE, SDE and even interior last Saturday. He’s been a solid part of our defense all year. Not a star, but a blue collar worker, which is the identity of our defense!

I think Trombone got messed up in the VanGorder/Gilmore washout. Mike Elston has those men playing at a different level. Didn't Trombone bat a pass in the air and intercept it in the last few weeks? Looking forward to Saturday's game.

Trumbetti was a disappointment which happens, but has been very solid this year

The eye test. When Trumbetti was a freshman we all thought whoa this kid can play.
He was always swarming pressuring the QB...etc.
You could always see him in the midst of the action. You didn't have to look for him
He was right there.

This year...you have to look for him. I mean literally make it a point to find #98

Like all your uneducated posts ?
Once again mr. coach thinks he knows everything but really knows nothing. You think Trumbetti is playing well this year? He is terrible. This coming from the same clown(that would be you) who thinks Martini should be starting instead of Coney. Did you watch the game last week? You call yourself a coach, you are a joke. You can't judge talent if it bit you in the a$$.

To quote Lee Marvin in the dirty dozen " look stupid ". It's easy to say someone stinks and then not back it up with some informed analysis. Why do you think he hasn't t played well ? He's a solid contributor in a rotation of d- linemen who have performed very well. Watch more, post less. Never said martini should start ahead of Coney, instead myself and others attempted to explain to you why he was. Yes Coney played his best game last week. Finally consistent all game long. Good to see.

Not sure how these guys (LINK) get their numbers, but they have Trumbetti with 18 tackles, 5 QB hurries, 6 stuffs for no gain/loss, and ZERO missed tackles. Those really aren't terrible numbers compared to the rest of the DL.

I love hearing the ZERO missed tackles part.

He has always been a tweener. I look at it this way Trumbetti may not be a great player but the other guys are emerging stars so as a unit this group of DL/DE are IMO the most impressive group this year and Trumbetti is part of that group. So give him credit with the rest of them. They need to play with angerweek. All the talk is about Chubb and the Wolfpack D.... not this week boys !

Jeez... Must be tough on you, this season.

He's having a great year considering how may guys are seeing time on the defensive line (unlike under BVG who barely subbed and allowed out line to get worn down and beat late in games). Andrew is competing with several young fast DEs for snaps. So the numbers posted are pretty damn good.

Well, one is a budding star and one isn’t and never was.
