Sure is...left on the schedule that really scares you ? 5 of the last 6 are ranked with Wake even getting a few votes in the coaches poll. For me i think it is Miami. I know they only have 4 games and FSU was their sig win so far, but they have only given up 1 rushing td.

That is why i ask on a message board to fans instead of asking the team. It is just a fun question to ask on a bye week. Yes, we as fans know the the biggest game of the season is the team you play next.Yes -- each week, that team scares me. ND needs to simply worry about who the next opponent is, come out focused and ready to play each week. They need to use the final 6 games as a series of "mini-goals" -- with the goal of winning each mini-goal -- no sense looking at the top of the mountain, when you still have a lot of climbing left to do -- accomplish the little goals, and the big one will take care if itself.
Agree. NCSt QB is the real deal.NC State... Better DL than Georgia. Chubb may be the best DE in the nation. They have the 2nd best QB on ND's schedule. Samuels is an awesome playmaker.
It's also a week after ND goes for broke against USC.
It still has to be USC.left on the schedule that really scares you ? 5 of the last 6 are ranked with Wake even getting a few votes in the coaches poll. For me i think it is Miami. I know they only have 4 games and FSU was their sig win so far, but they have only given up 1 rushing td.
Sure is...
Stanford. They worry me more than anyone else.
Why does it seem (perception anyways) that stanford always seems to play with a tad more motivation than we do in that game.
.
If they hate on the play calling they've no clue of football.Ncsu - I hope ND goes two te's and leans on them all game. This will be another game where haters hate on the play calling. Ncsu' d line is scary good but they are thin. If the defense can hold serve I think ND can break them. Play to the strengths and ncsu will buckle. The linebacker's are much weaker than Georgia. If ND can get past the first level there will be yards to be had. This is a big make up game for the OL.
These are the situations I loved with Holtz. He would take on anyone. Loved the challenge of playing the best every week.NC State... Better DL than Georgia. Chubb may be the best DE in the nation. They have the 2nd best QB on ND's schedule. Samuels is an awesome playmaker.

Not a single team left on the schedule scares me - ND should win every game left. What worries me most is the combined strength of the schedule left to play over a short period of time. There is no letting your guard down for the rest of the year. If ND can stay healthy and play their game that wears teams down over four quarters then ND goes 11-1, IMO.
The Holtz-era teams came to my mind, too, when looking at the remaining schedule.Amen !!!!!!!!!!! And 4 of the last 6 games are at home !

Love the optimism. I really do.This 2017 Irish team is just like a Great Holtz Team ! Great Oline Great running backs Great defense----If you think we can't run the table your wrong IMO. North Carolina State is not a great team. They lost to South Carolina. And Notre Dame has them at home and will not overlook them. When Notre Dame beats USC they will ride that momentum all the way into the playoffs. Stanford is not that good and now that we have Elko are defense will be ready for them. Miami got lucky against Florida State---they are not the Miami of old. Navy will be tough but we have our Triple option stuffers in Tranquill, Coney and Martini. And we have Wimbush who could score six TDs on the weak Navy defense. IMO.
Love the optimism. I really do.
I would be careful saying "they're not that good"
If they're not that good then our wins won't be significant.
I want them to be very very good.[/QUOTE
Don't worry we will meet a very good team when we make the playoffs.

NC State scares the sh*t out of me
No, but I highly doubt we are going 6-0 against them.left on the schedule that really scares you ? 5 of the last 6 are ranked with Wake even getting a few votes in the coaches poll. Everyone says NC State's defense is outstanding. They will stuff the run.
I say they will TRY to stuff the run! They haven't seen an OL like ours nor backs like ours. It will be tough, but I think we can push them around and wear them down.
That's why games are played on the field and not on paper. Everyone studies film and game plans for their opponent. However, saying your going to do something and actually doing it are two totally different things. It's all unicorns and rainbows until you get punched in the mouth!!
