Every time we see MALIK ZAIRE he has a smile on his face and looks so upbeat, positive, happy-----even with a broken ankle! Is he always that way? I assume so--which is WHY he is such a great LEADER.

2016 MZ....2016.......

BEAT Navy!!!

Notre Dame is fortunate enough to have a tradition of great people among is players. Its why we love being the Irish so much.

Malik seems like a good kid . Virginia game was not great if that was a snap shot he is at risk moving forward as ND's qb next yr . If anyone thinks it's fait accompli that he is the starting QB next I would say that is folly .

He was 7-18 vs virginia , again not taking shots at the kid it's just that all of Kizer's starts and finish vs Va were better than what I saw from Malik vs Virginia .

Ok...so it's your opinion there is more potential from top to bottom with this offense with Kizer taking the snaps? Watch the Clemson game again and see if the the D respected the keep on the zone read or the draw.

Just stated that the competition for QB is an open one come April and that if Malik's passing vs Va was an indicator of things to come he could lose his job in April .,he may lose the job anyway .

Also he may win the job as well but if your Kelly try telling Kizer and Wimbush to put on the red cap in April

If the Irish end the season 11-1 you be the one to tell Kizer to take a seat next fall . Also ND's offense ate shit vs virginia - Zaire was far from a finished product in fact his passing that day was as bad as I can remember from a ND QB .

I have not seen enough from either QB to make a snap judgement as to who wins the job next yr

Kelly will have almost an impossible job keeping all three QB's on the roster come next yr IMO

35, I agree that MZ is not the automatic starter next year. Personally, I like Kizer and his grit, but see lots of flaws in his game; but expect him to progress weekly. Wimbush will not automatically take a back seat either. Good problem to have.

Hope to see Kizer making his decisions quicker, and hope to see more pin point passing in the short and mid range areas. OL has provided great protection, and my concern is Kizer needs the time to go through his progressions, doesn't pull the trigger quick enough, and doesn't see open receivers. Any pass rush will exacerbate these. Need to see improvement on a weekly basis.
