I was thinking that same thing. The first time I ever saw a lacrose stick was at ND. A guy from Connecticut played on what I think was a club sport at that time.

Surprised to see Denver and Utah fielding competitive teams.

And yes, way overdue for one of our men's teams to win a championship.

The 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship is set, and it is a battle between familiar foes. No. 1 Duke will face No. 3 Notre Dame in an all-ACC matchup for glory in Philadelphia. The Fighting Irish handed Duke a 17-12 loss on April 8 and this will be the third time these teams will meet for a national. 1 pm

It is strange ... the teams that have won most of the LAX championships seem to be the better academic schools ... the Ivies, Duke, VA, Cute, and now ND.
Its the same with the ladies game, this year's champ is Northwestern (8th time in past 20 years or so).
