Notre Dame men's basketball and head coach Micah Shrewsberry are reportedly showing interest in Southern Illinois transfer forward Marcus Domask.
The 6-foot-6, 215-pound forward announced his plans to enter the 2023 NBA Draft and transfer portal March 29.
Domask appeared in 106 games across his four seasons with the Salukis, making starts in all of them. He missed the majority of the 2020-21 season with an injury. He posted career numbers of 15.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest. He was selected to the 2023 MVC First Team All-Conference last season. He ended his Southern Illinois career shooting 36% from the 3-point line and 84% from the free-throw line. The Waupun (Wisc.) High native also finished No. 8 in program history with 1615 career points.
He plans to visit Illinois Friday and Saturday. He's also receiving interest from BYU, Cincinnati, Clemson, Iowa State, Pittsburgh, Xavier and Wisconsin.
Domask was a three-star recruit in the 2019 recruiting class and 2019 Wisconsin Mr. Basketball. He collected 15 offers and chose Southern Illinois over schools including Akron, Indiana State and Western Kentucky.
