Irish favored by 11.5

the next four Irish opponents rank near the bottom among 127 FBS teams in total offense: Temple (108th), Pitt (94th), Boston College (125th, including only 79 yards total offense in Saturday's loss at Louisville, and getting shut out 3-0 earlier in the year by Wake Forest) and Wake Forest (105th)

i didnt know these stats^^^. I think any team thats "bad" on offense wont be able to keep up w/ the Irish for 4 qtrs. Adrenaline will eventually wear off and teams that cant keep ND's O off the field will get wore down by our Oline and playmakers.

The last 4 games they played before ECU was: UMass, Charlotte, Tulane and UCF(havent won a game). Any comparisons on statistical rankings between them and ND are irrelevant. how about SOS? Sad to think they are rated that low offensively playing those teams plus Penn St, whos not great, Cincy and ECU. ND will be by far the most athletic team they've played.

What is Virginia record ? 1-5 ? We escaped - Temple could very well could be a dogfight till the end if we do not bring our A game. Does not matter who Temple has played or what their offense is ranked. They will play this game like it is their first ever New Years Day Bowl Game.

That was the only game Notre Dame did not beat the spread.

Notre Dame has been taking care of business this year for the most part.

Notre Dame has played the last two games after the loss to Clemson like it has been their Super bowl. 41 to 24 over a very good Navy team that had a 8 game win streak and hasn't lost a game besides us and a very talented USC team 41 to 31. A USC team that blew out Arizona State 42 to 14 and the #3 ranked team in the country Utah 42 to 24.
This Irish team is out for blood, well rested, and every game is a playoff for them.
ND will blow out Temple.
And for everyone that says we start off slow-- who cares !! The game goes for 4 quarters and the only thing that matters is the scoreboard at the end !

Bodi, I said in another thread that ND would beat Temple by 17 and you hammered my comments. I realize I am a product of the Gary, Indiana public school system but I believe 17 is larger than 11.5.

Never underestimate the fight in an underdog playing at home on Halloween Night. They are 7-0 and ranked 19th in the polls. They have earned respect not derision from any opponents fan base.

Ara, you are exactly right. There will be a ton of fight in the Temple Owls. This is not going to be an easy game for the Irish. They better come ready to play because Temple will be ready to fight.

With any team playing ND ,I never take anything for granted . Look at UMass game ,they played us tough for most of the first half until we got our act together . I hate it when we get off to a slow start against average teams . It takes a while to get untracked .

Temple has to play undefeated Memphis , and even if they lose ,Temple in the East division of the AAC will probably have to play either Memphis or Houston in the West division for the AAC championship . But inspite of these tough conference games ,Temple will go all out against the 9th ranked Irish .Don't coaches always say to concentrate on the next game and don't look ahead .

Temple came to play at ND in 2013........I expect a battle...UNLESS ND decides to play great defense and the OL dominates. Turnovers as always will be huge. temple has a defense. somebody better get a hat on the MLB every play.

BEAT da owls!!!
