LB Brendan Ferns of Ohio (Class of 2016), who has been a major Ohio State lean for several months now will NOT be going to Ohio State. both parties have moved on.
It appears that the Ohio State University does NOT offer the major that Ferns is interested in receiving a degree in during his playing career. Both sides have tried a "different route" to make it work, but it cannot/won't happen.
As of today, it appears that Penn State and West Virginia are the leaders for Ferns, but this is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for Notre Dame to get back involved with this outstanding LB prospect, who is also an excellent student in the classroom as well.
