As @Charleston Bowles and I continue to interview some of the recruits who visited Notre Dame for the Blue-Gold Game, I’ve been doing some more digging to get a better sense for where the Irish stand with the 2024 targets who visited in the past week or so.
Let’s look at it position-by-position.
Wide receiver
Notre Dame may be closing in on two more commitments at wide receiver to join Rivals100 commit Cam Williams. As I’ve shared in other threads, I’m predicting Notre Dame will add four-star WR Micah Gilbert and three-star WR Isiah Canion to its class at some point. We know Gilbert’s commitment date is next Tuesday, May 2. Canion hasn’t revealed any plans yet, but as long as it doesn’t drag out beyond a couple weeks, I think he’ll pick ND.
The question would then become, does Notre Dame want to take four wide receivers in the class? I believe they should, but I don’t think that’s been settled on yet. The Irish are in a good spot with four-star WR Jason Robinson, who also visited last week. I would consider him the favorite to be the fourth in the class if ND makes room.
