I'm not using injuries as an excuse but has any of the other programs suffered as many key injuries in the past two years as we have.

I'm not talking about losing players because of academic issues or if they transferred out for any reason.

During the TCU game they listed TCU injuries. I was surprised to see almost as many as ND. But still ND had more.

Sadly I think I catches up with the boys against Stan.

a catch-22 question!
if it is contended that ND suffers inordinate numbers of injuries then that contradicts the contention that ND's strength and conditioning program is the best possible program.

Whenever the question comes up and Longo's effectiveness is questioned, that is shouted down.
Results and experience alone would be enough to reevaluate whether a change is a consideration.

as yet, the only injury that has current impact is Kei.
Unless a OL goes down, Barrs was 6th man.
DK clearly played at a superior level at QB than ND has had in years.
CJP was better than the preceeeding RB's and the FR. have even been more explosive.
There have been hits to situational players. But they were not inseparable from the next man on the depth chart.

As proof I offer that 10-1 would not have been possible otherwise!

Speculation. No one can say for 100% certainty how the season would have turned out if no injuries occurred. I do think if College Gameday" or some show like that would take five minutes and actually list, in detail, all the season ending injuries, I believe even the most ardent ND hater would be amazed at the 10-1 season so far. I don't think many of these analysts realize how many have been lost. It is my opinion that all these injuries are starting to catch up simply based on the team's performance the last two games. These youngsters just might be running out of gas.

The biggest loss was J. Jones. Geting him back for the bowl game would be huge.
