I bet they themselves were shocked about the outcome of last Saturday's game! Shocked that ND played right into their hands and s**t the bed on national television.

I still think Kelly's biggest win was 2012 Oklahoma. ND playing in a hostile environment against an elite powerhouse program, and actually getting the win. I think Oklahoma had only lost a couple times on their home field in like the previous five years (I don't know the exact stat). I really thought ND had turned the corner after that game and had become a top program. I still feel like BK has yet to top (or match) that victory since, even though he's had plenty of chances.

I agree OK was probably his biggest thus far because I think OK was top 5 or 10 at the time, and like you mentioned it was on the road where they rarely lose. This year's SC and NC State are close because both were ranked top 15 when we beat them. If we win at Stanford that would be another big win IMO.

And that was against probabky the most one dimensional Oklahoma offense since the Jamelle Holieway days and the wishbone. No exaggeration. That OU team with belldozer was anemic on offense.

disagree.

Would be interesting to hear your take on that game as you tend to be rational but I know you were expecting ND to win fairly easily.

I have talked myself blue in the face saying I can't believe a.) the team was flat (my theory being that even with the worst coach in the world the players had to know what was at stake.) and b.) that ND's coaches were incapable of adjusting to what Miami was throwing at us. Yet, it seemed we did nothing to counter them the entire game.

Miami was better prepared, but not necessarily better. This has been the problem ND teams have had a problem with in big game situations. How do you fix that?

The team sucked it up. Happens every week to a team. Miami will probably get crushed by someone too. Nature of the game. Tough to win em all only Bama will do it. Heck they might lose too.ita all about who you lose to, when, and hype at the time. How is Oklahoma ranked so high after their loss? Simple. Hype.

Can someone explain how we have been outscored 62-15 in the last 5 quarters after completely dominating the previous 7 games?

We all knew they probably couldn't sustain such a high level of play, but how can the bottom just fall out like that?

If Miami players had to be brutally honest they'd probably say they were pissed at Richt for calling 24 straight runs to end the game and not letting the run up the score.

ND fans are a special kind of stupid. Imagine losing a game 41-8 and then refuse to admit the other team is better.

Then again, denial is what ND does best. Prince Shembo would be proud of your mental gymnastics.

Here's the difference between an idiot Cane and a Irish fan. We smoked SC 49-14, but I bet it would be hard pressed to find a ND fan who expected that to happen. I really doubt BK no matter what he says in the media expected to beat them 49-14.

Sorry, I agree with Airsander: People are actually saying one or two plays would have changed that game. That's just crazy talk.

as a former player and only speaking for myself i highly doubt any miami player was doubting their ability to win the game. i would not imagine they expected a blowout to that extent but turnovers will do that. there was no reason to expect nd to turn the ball over like they did. it hadn't happened all year.

Nope. Wins over ranked teams such as Ohio State, Oklahoma State, & TCU. Loss was to a pretty good Iowa State team.

Prior to the USC game, there were a lot of fans posting in this forum who predicted a blow out ND victory.

Miami played much better as a team with a much better game plan. To say that Miami players on the Miami roster are better players when considering the individual talents, then I do not consider that to be the case.
