Ian Book -- Young gunslinger !!

Bodi....I like that he will have time to develop!

He will be trained by two of the best quarterback minds in college football. (Kelly and Sanford).
Sanford recruited him. He probably thought he was watching the next "Joe Montana" when he was watching him play. You never know. He may get a chance as a 5th year senior and lead the Irish to another National Championship.

To date, what quarterback coached by kelly has achieved the most NFL success?

It is a stupid question which doesn't surprise anyone who knows your agenda.

Well, the poster I responded to suggested that kelly was among "the best quarterback minds in college football".

He's not. Why don't you deal with that stupidity?

I think cgvr is Charlie Weis.

Quinn put up 69 TDs and 14 ints in 2 years under fatso. (32/7 37/7) He finished 3 and 4 in Heisman voting...
Then tubby brought in Clausen.

kelly fried Golson's brain. Rees wasn't trained well enough to out run the cops. The best connection by a Rees family member was Tommy's sister's shot to the Purdue fans jaw. kelly turned 5 Star Crist into silly putty and drove Nate Montana to hit the sauce. kelly also taught Hendrix how to throw grounders. So, until Sanford arrived it appears that the kelly was a 1 man ND QB wrecking crew. Thank God that while kelly was destroying Golson.... Sanford was developing Malik.

Not sure... I was thinking Bill Cosby.

His Alma mater gave kelly fits last year. Sadly, kelly, as is often the case, was totally out coached that day and we were fortunate to win. Interestingly, kelly hit the daily double that day. He lost control of his sidelines and then created an embarrassing national media incident by losing his mind...again....

You forgot to blame him for your hemorrhoids and lack of intelligence.

Kelly inherited a very unathletic Tommy Rees and developed him into a division one QB who helped the Irish improve greatly over the years led by Jimmy C. Kelly also developed a three star athletic QB Golson to help lead the Irish to their first undefeated season in 24 years and a National championship game. Golson held his own against Alabama and almost beat #1 Florida State in his next year back before faltering (head case).
Now Kelly did his best job yet after developing Malik Zaire into a stud qb with wins over LSU and Texas and after he went down he developed the third string QB Dishone Kizer into a very competent QB who led the Irish to ten wins.
Now Coach Kelly has Four Quarterbacks with three of them battling to lead the Irish. Kizer, Zaire, and Wimbush. Never before have the Irish had such talented athletic QBs ion their roster and they all owe it to Kelly and themselves.
You better make some popcorn and enjoy the show, cgvr. But I doubt you have it in you. You have a personal hatred for Coach Kelly and all things Notre Dame.

*** Mark my words. Kizer will end up a excellent NFL QB. Much better than Brady Quinn or Jimmy C.

"Never before have the Irish had such talented athletic QBs ion their roster" wahahahahaha

You better contact your sponsor.

As accurately stated,

1 kelly fried Golson's brain.
2 Rees wasn't trained well enough to out run the cops. The best connection by a Rees family member was Tommy's sister's shot to the Purdue fans jaw.
3 kelly turned 5 Star Crist into silly putty and
4 drove Nate Montana to hit the sauce.

Thank God that while kelly was destroying Golson's confidence.... Sanford was developing Malik.

PS I'd take Lisch, Montana, Forystek, Koegel over this crew every day of the week....

Bodi, your enthusiasm is duly noted. Sometimes you do come across as a bit of a Pollyanna.

But it's hard to be even a little critical of a guy who drops a gem like this in your lap.

After the loss to 'bama.... That didn't work out to well.

Lol...I don't remember him trying to even get a QB Coach job...and you're saying he was actually trying to coach them??

Gonna need a link to all this secret NFL QB coaching

You asked, "When was the last time Kelly was trying to coach NFL QBs?"

Is it your suggestion that NFL head coaches don't coach their quarterbacks?

The fact that he thinks he's qualified to not only be a HC, but a HC with full control of NFL personnel makes him more idiotic.

Yes. The vast majority of NFL coaches are not trying to directly coach their quarterbacks.

Your attempts to equate the NFL and college football in this thread I have been absolutely hysterical

Pretty standard fare for someone as stupid as you are

Hahahaha! I haven't equated anything. I asked a simple question about quarterbacks getting to the next level under kelly after a ridiculous statement was made on his behalf. The answer to that?... crickets....

I also accurately pointed out his numerous failures in QB development at ND. When Sanford arrived things started to look up. That's not coincidence.

You are correct with this statement. However, as written, it is not very specific. "The vast majority of NFL coaches are not trying to directly coach their quarterbacks." If you are including head coaches in this remark then you are wrong.
