I think this may be the only scenario where he's not the coach next season. Of course, this would require some negotiating between Kelly and Jack on some modified buyout akin to a severance package. Kelly saves face, goes out a winner, moves on to behind a mic, and ND has momentum, saves money, makes the alumni happy, and they can aggressively go after some stud head coach early in the coach hunting cycle.
