Nobody who watched those games yesterday can honestly believe that anybody other than Oregon is better than Notre Dame. The SEC game was a display of awful football that got ignored because it went to overtime. Penn State's defense was nonexistent.
If they are being true to their mission, this will be the final top 5:
1 Oregon
2 Notre Dame
3 Georgia
4 Texas
5 Penn State
I have no faith that this will be what actually happens. We'll get some BS from the committee about not punishing teams for playing in conference championship games. We'll get the obligatory mention of the NIU loss but no mention of Texas not having any wins over ranked teams or substantially favorable common opponent outcomes compared to Penn State and Georgia. We'll suddenly get no mention of the metrics they used every week to justify Penn State over ND.
