Brandon Wimbush will throw the ball better tonight. I don't think he's going to be a 75% passer, but I have a feeling he'll be more accurate than we've seen and make some plays.

As always, I'll eat my crow if I'm wrong. I simply think he looks sharper tonight.

One of the keys to an Irish win is throwing efficiently. Winbush doesn't have to be perfect. But he needs to make SC respect the pass.

Another opportunity in a night game with major season implications on a national stage. I think he's a gamer and with the UGA experience under his belt and a game to "see" the offense from the sideline, I agree this sets up well for him to grow from the first half of the season. I'm just hoping the bye week didn't hurt the momentum of the D...

For the life of me I cannot understand why our passing game hasnt been better.

The oldest line in football is "run to set up the pass." Well ND runs the ball damn well! Yet we can't do diddly poo when throwing the ball.

So hopefully that can at least get a little better today.

He’ll look sharper, his receivers will make plays, and Stepherson will be a difference maker.

IIO I'm actually more intrigued by your insights, as to who may pop tonight/very near future? Ty sir.

I'm going Bracy as sure as it can get.

Accuracy is usually something that isn't improved. You can polish fundamentals, footwork, mechanics all that but he still has to see the target and throw the ball accurately.

He just needs to be effective.

I will take BW at 50% as long as he doesn't hang onto the ball and take sacks .
That's silly. BW at fifty percent would mean loss. Big loss. I know some here think he's the second coming and while I love his athleticism there isn't enough talent gap in college football first him to be effective at fifty perfect.

He might not be enough at 100% because of his accuracy issues...which are very real.

He just needs to be effective with passing and I don't mean the protect the QB and pad his confidence flat passes.

He's got to make some real down the field completions. Not all...not even most...but some. Just some.

You think 12-24, 175 yards with 2 TD passes, plus 80 yards rushing and 2 TD runs would be a big loss? Because if you gave me that right now and said he played clean in the turnover department, I'd gladly take it with the help of ND's rushing attack.

I'm with you on Bracy. ND has a great chance there. Moala as well if they let him take that spot in the class. BJ Crim could be a quick commitment if they offer on his visit. Alontae Taylor intrigues the hell out of me. I'd kill to get that guy as a flip.

I'm going to say ND lands....

Tariq Bracy
Tommy Tremble
Paul Moala or BJ Crim

Within 2 weeks of tonight's game.

Exactly. Those stats are fine.
Brandon Wimbush at fifty percent would not obtain those stats.
Be realistic.
Those stats and zero turnovers would be great against a good defense with BW at 100%.

I think you guys may be talking about two different things...

It sucks we lose out on Booker? If so, appears we do. Are there any other SDE's on the board that can plug n play? So disappointed losing guys like Booker, Thomas, all (3) safeties from a few yrs ago to those guys! That is our biggest thorn imo (Stanford).

Want to gobble some crow? Kid was 9-19, for 120 yards and 2 TD's, zero INT's. 106 yards rushing and 3 TD's... If he had 24 attempts he would have been basically exactly what I projected, except he had 26 more rushing yards and another TD.

Cheers my Man!

I think y’all were on different pages here. 88 was taking about BW being at 50% health, not completion percent.

No dumbass....BW was NOT at 50% health.

Are you not following along? A healthy BW is a good player.

Damn you're lost

WTF are you talking about. You said you would take BW at 50% which to me meant BW at 50% health...to which I replied don't be foolish a half injured BW could not carry the team.

Yep. My bad. I read your post wrong. I'll take your dumbass comment and gobble it down given my glaring mistake. Sorry for the miscommunication. I was clearly assuming that you were referring to Wimbush in terms ofnhisnpassing ability rather than his health...

Lol cheers.

He will continue to improve. Kelly knows QBs. He is a teacher. Josh dropped a screen that would have gone big and I thought Alize should have caught that one.

But damn. That was fun. Talking D -- we just held USC and Sammy D to 24 points. And the two drives in the 3rd Quarter shows you what he is capable of...

Great effort all around. This is a team defined by the O-line and they were awesome again. Couldn't stop us

EQ also had a bad drop on third down. Brandon continues to make some rough throws downfield, but he needs receivers to bail him out a little bit in the short passing game.

I'm not sure about everyone, but I surely took it as 50% pass efficiency also. I thought your predictions was pretty spot on. Well done IIO.
