I have a healthy concern about this game as well, but has SC played anyone like ND?

The answer is no. If they had to play Oregon or Ohio State this year with close scores I’d say they can match up on all 3 phases. ND has been on a tear because of a killer D and Denbrock realizing RL is not the sling it all over the field kinda dude.

1st half will be close and 2nd half ND will lean on the SC linemen.

I recall MANY ND posters before the BCS final vs Alabama saying: you haven't seen a defense like ours before!

Famous last words.

:D

I agree ND is the stronger team. Bring the A game and odds are ND wins convincingly enough. I keep harping: it's all on MF now to ensure the Irish play to potential.

I just get this spooky feeling I'll jinx this if I assert the superiority of ND...like so many did before that fateful final vs Alabama.

MF knows. I think he is a different type of coach. Has the intangibles to inspire the best of ND.

My fingers are humbly crossed. That ND plays like a champion...TODAY!

They beat lsu

They played Penn St., and had the game won, or at least had PSU on the ropes, and it went to OT before finally losing. Did you forget about that? PSU that's ranked ahead of us, like, 4th overall in the whole country?

So thank you for the sentiment, I guess. But your point is not well taken.

Absolutely did not! Count me as one of the people not impressed by PSU. They have #44 who is a dude, but they don't seem very athletic to me.

I don't think that really applies at this point. PSU is ranked ahead of us, heading into the final week, and came very close to losing to USC in LA. That more than suffices, by any possible standard, as evidence that they are capable of beating a top team, or keeping it very close, indeed taking it to OT. I'm just glad it's not Miller Moss, I think he's better than the backup who has since taken over. Though the new guy is a decent running threat, Maiava. MM is not.

I agree, Miller Moss is definitely more talented of the 2.

If last nights game between Georgia and Georgia Tech or OSU currently trailing Michigan 10-3 doesn't make you worried about the USC game, then you don't understand rivalry's.
