You got one thing right Bodi... Notre Dame should have hired Tom Clements. He was a Notre Dame man, was a quarterback on a national championship team, the only thing he lacked was charisma.
Too soon. I’d like to see Rees as a head coach at another school or schools for a good ten years before he gets an offer for the ND job. Prior head coaching experience is a requirement for the ND job. I refer to Bob Davie. Maybe down the road, in a few years. But now ? Too soon in my opinion
If will stay five more years running the offense win a NC or two then take over when Kelly leaves after a statue is made of him at the stadium !
The reason Brian Kelly is not your favorite coach is because h has not won a National Championship. But with the recruiting they are doing now he will win one soon.
Saban is a GREAT coach but he doesn't win all those NC'S without GREAT coordinators.
Our offense talent has greatly improved---the receivers are much better than last year (our frosh have high ceilings and are making plays--Kevin Austin is a bigger threat than last years crop. Also our running back room is awesome---no more Cbos---just high ceiling guys like Williams, Tyree, and Logan to start with.

If Tommy is such a hot commodity then why wasn't he even in the top 20 for the Broyles last year when our offense was much better? I think Tommy will be an HC...someday....somewhere.
Apparently not, we made a 27 year old with ZERO OC experience take the reins at ND. He's done ok considering the circumstances. But could you imagine if we landed Moorehead when we had the chance with Freeman. It would have been something special. But oh well, we got what we got.

Don’t post anything political with him. He will come at you hard out of no place. Spit all kinds of political rhetoric or degradations at you. And was a QB coach in the NFL, except for one year—so there is that, the NFL doesn’t pass on coaching talent. Being a ND man shouldn’t matter one bit.
I will take Ara and Lou over Kelly anytime., even Kelly win a National Championship or two, which I doubt. If you ever listen to Lou Holtz's speeches and Brian Kelly's speeches, there's a clear difference. You would run through a wall for Holtz.
Are you freeking serious? I would never compare Kelly to Holtz or Ara. You are not the only Notre Dame fan who lived through the 70's and 80's and loved Ara and Lou. Get a grip.
There is a big step between HC and OC. ND will go after a coach with a winning record. Uncle Jack has said that already this season. Never say never at ND. Our greatest coach never coached a game anywhere. He was a teacher here at ND. Everybody knows his name. I still get goose bumps when I say or write his name.............KNUTE ROCKNE OF notre dame! GO IRISH.
I guess you didn't follow what I was saying. We were considering Moorehead for OC, not HC. Yes, BIG difference. Like going from a rookie position coach to an OC of a premier university.
