But I love to watch the 49ers play. In my opinion they are one of the best tackling teams of all time. They either are very selective in whom they recruit on defense or they have someone who can teach tackling at a very comprehensive and basic level. If it is a matter of coaching, whoever should be doing it for the Irish is doing a woeful job. On of my favorite ND players of all time is Bob Crable. I honestly cannot remember him ever missing a tackle. While he admittedly had strong hands, he also had very good fundamentals. Maybe someone should contact him to see if he could help out his alma mater.
