The man has taken a beating from the Irish fan base and this Board in particular. The changes he has made have resulted in an amazing turnaround. The team is winning, playing hard and looking solid, consistent...the players seem to be responding to the changes across the board. New coaches making huge impacts. The recruits from last night had to feel it. BK has held up his end of the bargain and is doing a great job.

While I know people will turn on him as soon as the slightest thing goes wrong, it sure feels like he has found his way. Staying true to the pre-season expectations, we look to be in great shape to end up anywhere between 11-1 and 9-3. I’m still thinking NC State will be our toughest test and I will be ecstatic if we can win that game.

I’m proud of our head coach and team. Great victory last night - now let’s get ready to beat NC State! Go Irish!!

Agree. I have not said a word negative on BK as if you look at the changes he made in everything regarding the program IMO he deserved a legit shot this year to see how it played out. So far great job by everybody.
Sadly the first game they lose the carping will return.

Great job this year.

I have been saying for the past year he needs to stop running the offense and hire someone that is a legitimate play caller. Kelly is a very good recruiter and a very good administrator. It is very difficult for any head coach to run a team plus be responsible for running the offense. Not many head coaches in the NFL or College run the offense. Kelly did an awesome job of hiring coaches that know how to run the offense and defense.

Kelly looks much more relaxed and calm on the sidelines. Taking that extra stress of running the offense off himself has done wonders for both himself and Norte Dame as a hole.

Also, I know some people will say Kelly stopped running the offense two years ago. That is totally untrue. Kelly has always had his hand in the offensive play calling. Notice what Kelly is holding in his hands on the the sideline? NOTHING! Since he has arrived at ND he held the offensive play sheet in his hands. Not anymore.

Yes...yes...yes...Kelly deserves credit for this year’s success and the wholesale changes he engineered. He also deserves blame for the BVG hire and doubling down by keeping him into year three after abject failure of the defense on the field. Prefer to look forward than backward, and love where the program is right now and it’s overall direction.

That would involve alot of guys admitting they are clueless. Not going to happen in this sand box. These parasites are just desperately waiting for the next loss.

It's been a great comeback season so far. Hiring Long and Elko has worked out pretty well, to say the least.

Kelly deserved the criticism he was getting; and, he deserves the praise now. Turnover margin; improved: Red Zone production; improved: Defense; improved: Attitude; improved. Kelly found a way to reinvent himself; good for him and the young men at Notre Dame. A new kind of test next week. Can ND come off an emotional win and beat a very tough opponent the following week? They do that, then look out.
