Didn't see much of Texas after our match up. Anybody know if he progressed over the year, cause he looked like a future top 10 pick in his first game ever in college.

Texas fans were surprised to see him lining up at the mike last year, as his projected strength was using his speed on the outside. But the word is they'll be scheming to get him out on the edge much more this season from his ILB position. No one is worried about the development path he's on, as Strong has earned complete trust in the area of player development.

But your question was about last year. Overall he wasn't as dominant as many had hoped. He could get lost in the wash and had difficulties with pulling guards. But he suffered, as did everyone on defense, from an anemic offense that kept them on the field too much and dead in the water late in games. He was also a true freshman. All that said, no one works harder or is a better leader than Jefferson. Expect to hear his name called a lot in our opener.
