I can independently report that Notre Dame has become involved in the recruitment of Ontario (Canada) Orangeville Prep five-star center Thon Maker. The 7-foot, 210-pound currently isn't currently ranked numerically by Rivals because he was initially in the class of 2016, considered reclassifying to 2015, but then announced in June that he'd indeed graduate naturally in the 2016 class.
But make no mistake about the lack of numerical ranking, a legitimate five-star regardless of class. He would easily be top ten overall nationally in 2015, and is now in 2016.
