As we recently discussed on the forums, it comes as no surprise that Memphis has now released junior forward Austin Nichols with some restrictions. Nichols averaged 13.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game for the Tigers last year, and was projected to be their best player this upcoming season. He requested a release that Memphis initially tried to block.
