By most accounts he hit a 3 run homer this offseason in terms of bringing in some great new coaching talent. From what I've read, both Sanford and Denson uprooted their families to come to SB, and Denson did so after just moving them weeks earlier. Add to that Van Gorder the previous year who not only came to ND with his family but he also enrolled his son. Not sure if Lyght did the same, but if he's got a wife and kids, probably so.
Don't know about you but if I'm any one of those guys, one of the first questions I'm asking is "are you in this for the long haul, or are you going to be interviewing with the Eagles again after this season?"
No one can expect Kelly - or any coach - say "Yep, I'm here for the next 5-10 years". That's just too much to ask of any HC, especially considering that a HC can always get canned. But I'd think - at a minimum - each would want at least a 2 year "I'm not going anywhere" guarantee. At least.
