Curious to hear their thoughts.
Hey, if I was the Notre Dame AD I'd sign Kelly to a 10-year extension.Pretty simple: GA fans paying $1000+ for tix. What would you have done?

I agree with you, but being really good at football and winning a lot of football games is a better longterm business model for ND.I would say the school behind closed doors loves that Georgia came in droves. The overwhelming majority were probably at ND for the first time ever. What do you do when your happy and excited at a new place? SPEND MONEY! The bookstore was jammed I'm sure. Also you probably had Irish fans who sold their tickets but were in South Bend spending money. It's a shame that the place really is Walt Disney experience. Much like that New Yankee Stadium. What game? I'm here steak frites and chardonnay.
I will also say the stadium was loud for ND because if you were there- you care.
So, just like every other game I have attended My voice was shot trying to help the defense on 3rd downs.
So, f*ck the people that sold out.

There is no possible way to spin that positively for ND, unless you tell the recruits " Hey come to ND, there's no better place to learn how to betray and sell out your own friends, family, and tribe!!!".You'd have to talk to a recruit off the record to ever get the truth. How does the staff explain this away to the recruits? That's a toughie.
I had 4 tix and went too. That said- I don't blame anyone for selling their ticket for $1000.I went to the game.
Maybe it was, but maybe not. I was walking down Angela Street, talking with 2 uga fans who were looking for tickets. They said the cheapest they'd seen so far was $650 per.....that was overblown by tv, most paid between150-500, we spent 275 a ticket for 20 tickets and 8k that qualified spent 170, but a great experience my second visit

That is what my buddy said also. He thought maybe 20% was GA fans. It is called Capitalism.I was also at the game and even though I saw more red than ever it is crazy and wrong to say UGA took over the stadium. They received 8,000 tickets and I would estimate they had 25,000 - 30,000 in the stands and many more outside. That means 60% plus was rooting for the Irish! I can confirm that!
Their fans were great and very appreciative to play at ND and the decency they were shown which they rarely see in the SEC.
I was given my ticket so I wasn't about to sell it, but I can't argue with people who I saw selling tickets for $500 plus per ticket.
For almost two months the CHEAPEST TIX available on StubHub were over $500 each. One of my daughters friends paid $1,200 for a pair on Friday night only to find out they were fake. He got two singles on Saturday for $300 each.I was at the game and tonight spoke to a big alum that said he had a friend who has season tickets unload two 45 yard line seats for 6k. That's right, 6k!
That's nuts!
What's crazy is it's becoming a joke. I was also around other fans that made jokes about selling Miami tickets. Thinking people wouldn't know it was Ohio and not Florida.
Buy low, sell high, why are people whining about people making money? It's the American dream. If you have an issue with those tickets selling to the opponents fan base, than buy it up and go to the game. These fans had to endure 4 -8. I have never been to a game but I would like to one day when I can afford it and hope this is available to me and other fans. The ND fan base "travels well" and they buy seats in our opponents stadium, No one is up in arms when we buy from the oppositions fan base. What is good for the goose.....
