Golson is coming home

Well, there are some that are of the opinion EG is one heck of a talent with an NFL arm, but he was lacking some maturity. Most importantly, he seemed to lack any understanding of the meaning of the word team and team mate. This was confirmed by his abandoning his current team to play elsewhere when at a time when he would be needed most.

Just as he abandoned his team at ND, he abandoned his new team. When he was needed most, he wasn't there. In each case the abandoning was done because of his own decisions.

And yet his former teammates and coaches are welcoming him back with open arms. It's doubtful they would do that if they thought he abandoned them, and if they don't think so, what does it matter what you, I, or any other fan thinks regarding the matter?

Bdaddy - I agree completely that my opinion means nothing. Now he is out of college football I wish him well. Again, I think he has an NFL arm.

But he quits on his team.

Golson pissed away his potential with immature decisions and not understanding that he has to protect the football FIRST. None of us know, really, what kind of team mate he was. Each person is unique in how they are perceived but his leadership is also an obvious question. IF EG can grow up and stop being a sucker who lets "team mates" copy his paper and opponents take the ball,,, he could find a spot on a roster,, and one day grow into a QB of note. He has to learn how to throw the receivers open instead of just fire bullets to what looks like an open guy. The NFL is desperate for new QB talent so he does have a chance, though slim. Glad he is coming back to ND,,, the FSU detour was one of his dumb decisions.

His mistake was that he thought FSU and Jumbo would be honest with him while failing to understand that they run a very dishonest program.

His actions leaving the team and this recent development should be considered by every recruit thinking about FSU as an option.

Sad, but this behavior has been tolerated for forty years.

Good call. The Golson situation cost us DEARLY on the recruiting trail. You are a pure genius.

Stupid kids who go to FSU are easily swayed and pay little heed to bad people taking advantage of them. EG should have been smarter and stayed away from the cesspool in Tallahassee.

He learned the hard way!

The elite recruits are flooding in and continue to flood in.

Too bad for you.

Why not! They get coddled by the police, ignored for bad behavior by coaxes and administrators, don't have to go to class and who cares about a degree because you have little chance if you go to FSU!

Several of us boosters got together and put up a large cash pot for the police to use at their discretion.(Both TPD and FSUPD)

I've had the chance to get to know them pretty well over the years. Really good people.

A lot of times they will call one of us directly before any action is taken with a player and that is much appreciated.
