Put yourself in Kelly shoes for a minute. He has been very patient with Golsen and has given him every chance available. The kids started as a freshman was kicked out as a sophomore, started again as a junior and then became a turnover machine. He refused to take instruction from Kelly, who was trying to help him. When BK finally made a switch, which was best for the team, by gong with 2 QBs the bowl game, Golsen threw a fit. He was still given an opportunity to start and decided he didn't want to compete. It was basically Golson holding The program hostage unless he got his way. At some point you have to cut ties and move on. Golsen is a great talent with no leadership. It's time to move on to Zaire. I understand that Golsen wants to be in the NFL so he transferred. I don't hold it against him, however, it is this exact situation that makes me believe we are better off with Zaire. Sadly. What EG needs the most is what he could have gotten at Notre Dame this year. He needs leadership skills. He has th talent but he doesn't ever show leadership outside of the 2 minute drill.
