He seems to have been a great hire. So I hope we keep him. He should just stay anyway. Though he totally is plenty young to still return to the HC ranks and give it another go...

Locking in Golden for 2 to 3 more years would be a huge step in having a shot to win it all in 24, 25, and 26.
The talent will be there, lock in the defensive coaching that has been very good, then figure out what the heck is going on with the offensive coaching and you will contend all 3 years if not win one of them.
Freeman improving consistency of prep and in game coaching/decisions as well is needed.
We aren't far (offensive coaching and freeman in game decisions is the biggest gap between ND and the top right now), not talent.

If you think we can win it all, then the QB play has to be great. Who do you think will be “that guy” out of Angeli, Minchey, Carr, Knight? Obviously Leonard starts in 24. Who starts in 25 and 26, positioning ND to win it all?
