The NCAA restrictions on hitting during practice has hurt though it seems to have hurt Notre Dame more than others

The elite teams practice and reaffirm fundamentals more in one hour than this dip shit of coaches do in the whole year.

I honestly believe they don't know how to. Like they truly don't know how to coach fundamentals. BVG has no idea what he us doing and BK just doesn't think it's important.

This defense isn't going to get significantly better this season. You can't spend most of your spring and fall practice on instillation then change things up 4 weeks into the season and expect much improvement.
BVG is the Charlie Weis of defense. He thinks he can out-scheme other teams with little time spent on technique and player development.

Couldnt BVG have been fired last week? His replacement was available might have awakened the defense this week.
