I actually did some research and read Georgia Techs results from last year.

Since October 18th of last year they have been playing like one of the best teams in the nation.
During that span they have beaten two SEC teams Georgia and Mississippi State and dominated Clemson 28 to 6. They beat Virginia 35 to 10.
And the first three teams they opened the season with were low level teams like this year but they struggled
They didn't beat Tulane 65 to 10 like this year. They won 38 to 21.

GEORGIA TECH WILL BE OUT FOR BLOOD AND WILL WANT TO AMBARASS THE IRISH ON NATIONAL TV ! THEY ARE A WELL OILED MACHINE !
Paul Johnson thinks he can win a National Championship with his team. They are better than last year !!

Could this be like the Miami game in Jerry Faust's last game where Miami beat us 58 to 7?
Yes, and maybe worse. Paul Johnson hates BVG and the IRISH that bad !

*** My prediction-- Notre Dame 34 Georgia Tech 31. Justin Yoon kicks the game winning field goal with seconds left.

They're well coached for sure, but last year they lost to Duke, NC, Ga southrn put 38 on them.....

They are about to be punched in the mouth.

Adding to ND's "splotchyness" last week was probably a little bit of looking ahead.

It's throw down time and Jaylon Smith will be the "Predator".

This team can cement itself into the playoff hunt.

We've spent a lot of practice and coaches time figuring out how to defend them.

Kelly in the first 1/4....

That's about to pay dividends. Hit everything that moves.

PS Our secondary is due for multiple picks....

I don't know. GT hasn't been tested so we have no idea yet about them. I believe they're a very good football team that can certainly beat ND, regardless of QB situation. However, I will be holding my breath until I see Kizer running the offense full tilt. He definitely showed glimpses of being awfully good and as others have pointed out, he was highly recruited by many for a reason. I was impressed with his post game presser and how mature and "in control" he appears.

All that said, I really think the weight of this game lies on this defense. What was that or where they hell were they last Saturday? If they play anywhere remotely like that against GT, they're going to get smoked in this game. I believe it will take the offense a few series to get the kinks worked out with Kizer at the helm. Its up to the defense to slow GT down.

But, at the end of the day, the very best defense against a team like GT is to keep their offense on the sidelines and grind out long scoring drives. They have to win the TOP.

It's Navy's offense with better players. They will give the Irish fits. It will take 40+ points to win this game so they better have the offense clicking new QB or not.

Oddly, in all 3 ga tech losses last year they “won” TOP. I didn't expect that....

FSU 25:05 GA Tech 34:55
Ga Tech 31:30 NC 28:30
Duke 29:44 Ga Tech 30:16

Alcorn State
Tulane

I'll leave it at that.

The over looks good in this game....whatever it is.
