FSU Out

Yeah, I for sure thought they’d reward FSU based on merit. I was clearly wrong. If we are just going to pick who “we” think are the best teams, it sends an interesting message. I totally get that they are not the same without their starting QB but precedence has been set with OSU years ago when they lost their starting QB. FSU’s D is one of the best and they’d have had their #2 QB

Oh well….tough decisions.

I think Bama beats MI, and wins this whole thing.
I don't make predictions, but my feeling going in is that Bama has been getting better week to week and still has the talent differential to beat anyone. I see them as DANGEROUS.

It would be hard for FSU to get up for a "meaningless" bowl. Maybe they should sit out, Notre Dame did for many years.
That would be a pathetic display of competitiveness

Will never happen and should never happen

I’d be motivated to go beat the shit out of someone. Go undefeated and make the committee too stupid(er).

Imagine if UT or Bama win it all, and FSU is undefeated w multiple wins vs the SEC

I wonder which Florida politician will be first to publicly call for some kind of investigation/hearing into the playoff committee. It’s probably already happened.

But…..

4th and 31 vs a 6-6 team that got boat raced against New Mexico stste. And they rush 2 and hand you the game. And you are deserving of the 4 spot. Come back to beat 5-7 Arkansas. Lose by 10 at home to Texas. Squeak out a win vs 6-6 USF

Okay. But which opponents would allow them such a victory?

Well there are a few ways to look at this. Personally I think FSU should be in before Alabama. I am not saying they are better. But they are 13-0. They did everything they could do. This came down to personal opinions on the committee. If people are honest, Alabama should have lost to Auburn. They got a fluke unforced turnover on a muffled punt and a fourth down miracle to beat a bad Auburn team. Anything but a dominant win. Out of the 4 , I would say Alabama is the most likely to win. Just my guess

Would you blame them
I wonder how much the CPF chair's bank account in February will be significant increased.
Its clear a home loss has little effect when it an SEC team

Meaningless to whom ?

Certainly not to the players and coaches !

Players and coaches want to play and coach, it’s in their DNA.

COMPETITORS COMPETE, THEY DON’T QUIT !
Thats assuming they'd be allowed to compete. Which the committee denied them. If Quinn Evers tears his a l tomorrow is goergia in. Nick foles won a superb owl as a back up. Games are supposed to matter today we found out they dont.

Great post

Um not necessarily and thats been proven
When, and by whom ?

If you’ve ever been seriously involved in sports, you know that competing is an inherent quality in athletes, it’s in their DNA.

IT’s all about competing and the innate will to win !

I’ve got no problem with FSU being left out. What’s their best win? Plus they aren’t near as good without Travis at QB. Alabama ran the SEC gauntlet and beat the #1 team and lost to the #3 team in the final 4 - first game of the season.

I feel terrible for FSU. Right decision or not, this is a major slap in the face and a bad day for CFB. They are being punished for an injury, while Michigan gets to go the playoffs despite being under investigation. I understand the reasoning for it all. But w/ the change next year, this will be a non-issue.

It means we should’ve had a 12 team playoff sooner. I blame those that held that up. It was no easy task they were faced with.

Finally some karma to to FSU remember 1993. We beat FSU and should of been national champs or at worst a split nope AP gives it to FSU.
