Your SEC teams can compete with NFL teams hot take cemented your spot as dumbest poster on here but you cant stop digging.
According to NFL Next Gen Stats, the Dolphins missed 20 tackles in the loss, which directly led to 132 additional yards for the Packers. Linebacker Jordyn Brooks bluntly said he thought the mid-20-degree temperatures played a role.
"I thought we were soft," Brooks said after the game. "Simple as that, I thought we were soft today. I don't know if guys was too cold. ... I don't know what it was. I feel like the elements played a part in how we played as a group, and that was the result that we got."

Predicting the weather for 12 days out is ridiculous.
Should I have used the “Farmers Almanac” ?

It’s far from ridiculous, numerous data points and computers have made it pretty reliable

I have a good friend that's a TV meteorologist, and he says that anything more than 24-48 hours prior, is just a guess. I wouldn't worry too much about the severity of the weather at this point. We'll wait 'til game week.

It’s northern Indiana, we went from wind chill of zero on Wed to highs in the mid 50’s today.
Wait until the 17th - 19th to worry about the weather.

How far away is South Bend from Bloomington? Sorry I'm not from Indiana. Will there be a lot of IU fans there? This is the biggest football game ever for them.

Yeah, I guess when they forecast those hurricanes. We should just wait until a few hours before they actually hit us before we batten down the hatches or evacuate.🤪

Temperature forecasts are pretty accurate, even at two weeks out.

You must not believe in preparation
Waiting until the day before the game to prepare for the weather isn’t a good coaching

Keep your day job

yeah they are always dead on where those hurricanes are going...

oh, wait....

Yeah, it’s always best to wait until the roof blows off and the kitchen is underwater before considering evacuation.

Ten day temperature forecasts are very accurate

Unfortunately, cold weather will have less of an impact on Indiana than it would’ve on Arizona State or Clemson

The forecaster for 12 days away would have had been better off buying a ticket for the billion dollar lottery .

you really know how to be a moron; you should do it more as you do it so well

Its called common sense which is something you clearly have no knowledge of

I have lived in a number of areas and the weather service is never accurate more than a few days off
AND I notice you say nothing about precipitation forecasts....

I lived in South Bend for four (4) years and I’m very familiar with the weather there

Hint: it ain’t South Florida

I didn’t mention the participation because that tends to be more of a variable than the temperature

Maybe common sense isn’t so common !

LIved in upper NY, Mid state ILL, Utah north and south; Harrisburg PA
and have never seen what you claim anywhere

I lived in Ithaca New York in the early 2000's and I've never seen some much snow in my life. We got 2 and a half feet of snow one night. (and lost power that was fun)

I won’t say that you’re ignorant on this matter, just grossly uninformed

Obviously, you’ve never heard of The Weather Channel

Alternatively, you might want to look up the United States government’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
They also provide long range forecasts

Here’s their website. http://www.noaa.gov/

I hope my post helped to educate you.

Weather can certainly impact a game where one team runs smash mouth power football and the other slings it all over the yard. A low scoring game favors ND.

You are a dick! All's I am doing is stating the facts about N. Indiana weather, I have lived in this area my entire life. Maybe I should put the info all in bold instead. ND is used to the weather, IU just played a game in the snow, what's your point.

My point, which evidently went far far over your head, is that coaches have to plan for all contingencies, including the weather.

When there’s a game scheduled for the 20th, you don’t wait until the 19th to begin your preparations for game day weather, as was suggested by a foolish, uninformed and inexperienced poster. (That would be you )

Up until a few hours ago most we’re thinking that a team from the south would have to come to South Bend, few expected that the team would be from Southern Indiana
