Football Graduation Rates of the remaining teams in the playoff

Notre Dame - 99%
Penn State - 89%
Ohio State - 87%
Texas - 75%
Georgia - 41%

Notre Dame is graduating their players and playing at an elite level.
I thought you had to maintain some sort of graduation rate. I remember UConn hoops had some academic violation that I thought was tied to graduation rate about a decade ago. Ill have to read up on exactly what that was

Someone recently posted Notre Dame's GSR and it was 96%.

What's your source?

A little different. I wonder if APR still exists

It's the NCAA, when's the last time they enforced anything.?

Go see what jobs (other than pro football) the football graduates land vs the regular graduates. That is the best way to judge the value of a degree.

Education is the key to a better job and a better life, especially today.

And if you don’t have a college degree, you’re at a real disadvantage in the job market and in life

In less than five years players will all be employees of the university and graduating will be a thing of the past.

Sadly the program on the bottom of graduation rate has been on top of winning lately. Stetson Bennett went 6 years and never graduated, sad

No, they can still graduate. So, that's wrong. There isn't going to be a rule against graduating or attending classes, because they're now 'employees'. In fact, with collective bargaining, it could be enshrined in their contracts that the players have to be making progress toward a degree, even though you would not insist that they take a full course load like ND players apparently do. Because that would be punitive and perverse. But there would be some structure where the players could take less classes, being that they are full time athletes, and be on a sort of extended graduation track, which they can complete in full when they're done with their eligibility, maybe an extra year or two or three. And of course they're always free to take as many classes as they want, and just grind.
