Isn't this exactly what Notre Dame wants? They are trying to compete in the midwest against UM and OSU, teams with two of the nations best coaches. Fleck balances the triangle. Kelly is the opposite of what we need. Jack should get canned. I can't stand this stupidity.

Guy is barely above .500 and his biggest win was the Bahamas bowl?

He has a couple good years at a MAC school and now he is the 2nd coming of Saban... a sure thing.... we'd be stupid not to pay him as much as he wanted right now!......

Fast forward three years and we'll be in the same spot.

What is wrong? Ok, maybe I am predicting that he wouldn't be any better than BK.... but am I wrong saying he has only been a head coach for like 4 years and is like 26-20?

He took over a team that had never won a bowl game - never - a team that was considered to be one of the worst programs in the MAC.

He has been the number 1 recruiter in the MAC the last 3 years in a row - now he has the best team in the MAC in year 4.

If he stays at W. Mich - they will win another 10 plus games next season.

When he goes to a big 5 school - he will have them winning at a high level by year 3.

He is the real deal.

Until further notice.........The University of Notre Dame has a HC. And, Fleck has to take the next step at a higher level than WMU before ND is in the cards. ND is like no other place from what we have heard and read our whole lives, so the jump from WMU to ND is no good. No good at all.

There are a lot of programs other than Utah who wished they'd of hired Urban from the MAC.

And you decide he has to take the next step at another school before going to ND ?

Last I checked ND fields eleven on defense and offense like all other football teams.

ND is not WMU. The demands, the pressure, the national recruiting, the national schedule. Sorry, we just disagree.

I dont believe it would be a long term solution, however at this point I'd love for ND to roll the dice. He could possibly be the answer? We dont know. Would prefer experience at a major univ. That said he could possibly find success due to his tireless work ethic, recruiting, charisma and youth. I find that the most intrigueing. Not saying I'm all in on Fleck but im sure he would be an immediate upgrade. Gonna check out his game sat. As i have'nt seen them .

cgvr, why didn't you warn us on how bad Brian Kelly was?
My bad and my apologies. I guess because some of you guys were so convincing.... Decker was truly a trip. Heck, I got a timeout for wishing kelly a happy birthday.
This place is awesome.

I do think Tony Robbins would make an excellent coach. In other news the Ottawa Red Blacks won the 2016 Grey Cup.

Turned a MAC team around? Sounds familiar
"Kelly became the 24th head coach at Central Michigan University after the departure of Mike DeBord following the 2003 season.[5] Kelly inherited a team with limited success. Central Michigan had won more than three games only once in the previous four seasons. CMU finished with a 4–7 record in 2004. In Kelly's second year at Central Michigan, he coached the team to a 6–5 record—the first winning season in seven years for the Chippewas. In his third season, the Chippewas posted a 9–4 record under Kelly en route to winning the MAC Championship and qualifying for the Motor City Bowl. At the end of the 2006 season"
