The two Scotts had a heart-to-heart conversation that day. Georgia's defensive line coach advised the five-star against committing if there were schools he still wanted to see, whether it was Georgia or anywhere else.
A few days later, Scott announced an indefinite postponement of his decision.
"Him just telling me that really just, it actually stuck with me. I don’t want to be the type of guy who commits and then flips or decommits. I just want to commit and then close my recruiting down," Scott said. "I just really appreciated him saying that, because that really kind of saved, I want to say, a world of trouble or world of confusion."
