And I am going on record saying that if the Irish go 12 and 0 in the 2017 regular season, as I predict, I don't want to hear about luck or about not winning the big game because every game is a playoff in college football and the Irish won 12 big games in 2012 that got them to the National Championship game!! Go Irish !!

As per NCAA, 2012 was 0 - 1, so no thanks. Expectation is and will always be undefeated, current playoff schedule would make it 14 - 0. I always hope for the best, but I also prepare for the worst.

I think you may be right. Looked at the schedule and saw a lot of easy wins, and only a couple of difficult games. Thought we had the talent to go 12-0, but figured we would manage to lose a winnable game, and we instead managed to lose 7 winnable games and one where we got rolled by ST play and superior talent. The point being my 11-1 or 10-2 or 9-3 predictions are no more valid than Bodi predicting 12-0 every year, because we have the talent each year to hang with anyone on our schedule.

Predicting future wins and loses isn't an exact science. It does reveal if you're an optimist or pessimist when viewing the upcoming season. There are no right or wrong answer when predicting the future.

It's just more realistic. Could the Irish have lightning in a bottle season....sure, but 9-3 just seems more achievable
