ND will win by double digits Saturday. The dogs backup QB will throw at least 2 picks. This will not be a hard game for ND!

Fromm is young and inexperienced but he was a four star coming in I believe. He has ability and I read that he was the QB that engineered the points last Saturday. I do agree with BK in thinking that the Georgia staff will not put the game on Fromm's shoulders. BK believes that Georgia will try to amp up their running game to help out the young QB. I agree. I also have to side with BK in knowing that their RBs cannot get to the second and third level because , at that point, they are very hard to bring down. The plan then is to control the LOS.

I think Georgia could just as easily win by double digits if they are able to shut down our running backs and rattle Wimbush. I'd be very surprised if we rush for more than 150 yards, and while Wimbush wasn't bad last week, I don't think he was lights out great either.

I still think it will be a close, hard fought game that could come down to something as simple as field position late in the game.

Jake Fromm was a 5 star recruit. He looks like a future star and has that "it" factor. Absolutely no fear. The counter points are that he threw up a couple of balls that more talented defenders would have intercepted. He is a true freshman making his first start and doing it at Notre Dame. As excited as UGA fans are about him, we expect freshman mistakes. It looks like this will pitt Notre Dame's powerful OL against UGA's strength (defense). On the other side, the UGA OL is a work in process. If I were Chip Kelly, I would stack the box to try and stop Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. In that case, UGA should utilize an excellent TE group and a good WR corps to offset that strategy.

Old reference, but I think Fromm has more of the cousin Itt factor.

You say he has the "it" factor. And you have come to that conclusion after less than a full game. That is funny

Well I think he's referring back to his HS days and previous comments attributed to him, along with talk from his UGA teammates since arriving in January (he was an EE). Heck, he was even the star of his LLWS team back in the day too. I will say that Fromm seems to have more confidence in the pocket than Eason. Of course, on the flip side, a few of the balls he threw last weekend would have been easily picked off by more talented DB's, so hopefully he doesn't have too much confidence going into this one.

He may very well be all that but the kid hasn't played a full game yet. All of these kids are great HS players.

Watch that analysis of the spring game and let me know your opinion on who looked better. Jake just sees the field better and knows where to put the ball. The hits check downs and has touch. Our offense will be more explosive with Jake no doubt. He might have an int, but overall we will score more points.

You might say that Fromm's confidence is giving Notre Dame confidence. In fact, Fromm's overconfidence is probably a greater threat to Georgia's chances than if he were jittery.

That makes No sense
If you're referring to my previous post, it makes perfect sense. Fromm's supreme confidence and over-reliance on what he deems his great touch and arm strength might prompt him to make ill advised throws. I read quite a few comments on the Georgia board that Fromm's TD pass to Wims was successful only because the receiver bailed him out on an up for grabs ball that just as easily couldn't have been intercepted.

Of course he will make a mistake, but our offense will def score more points with him IMO. Did you watch the 5 min clip I posted above from our spring game? Him taking those chances is what will open up the run game. He usually gets the ball out quick, which avoids sacks. Honestly I don't think he wins or loses the game for us. That will fall on the Oline.

With all due respect, you're 100% wrong. There is a reason why Smart named Eason the clear leader/starter before and after fall camp -- that's because he was. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the private scrimmages, and let's just say that Eason was unreal and looked like a seasoned NFL QB. Not only does Eason know the playbook better, he has a much better arm as well.

Believe me, if Fromm gave UGA a better chance to win, I can assure you he would be starting regardless. Smart 100% believes in a meritocracy, and simply put it's bad news for us that Eason is out, and we should hope he's healthy for MSU.

I've been to multiple practices and will just agree to disagree. Smart is a defensive guy and likes that Eason is overly conservative and won't turn it over. He wants to win with his staple (defense). There is no doubt in my mind the offense will be better in the long run with Jake.

In yesterday's press conference, Kelly's take on that was Fromm was putting the ball where he knew his receivers could get it.

We've had a few vfreshman QB's leave their first vist to ND looking like Heisman contenders.

As far as I'm concerned, we approach the game as if he's a veteran.

Well, the entire uncertainty about a freshman QB, even a very talented one, is how prone he might be to mistakes. If ND contains the Georgia ground game, he will have to come through. A smart DC like Elko is anticipating such opportunity. Hard to take too much from a spring game performance.

Tillery Morgan and safeties all need to step up. Tillery played very good last week but he will be doubled and put in tough spots. Coney will get 75% of snaps over Martini hopefully... #1 objective STOP THE RUN

It's not based purely on a full game. It's what lots of people in the program are saying. He's an early enrollee and many have said he doesn't handle himself like a normal freshman. He's a playbook nerd and spends most of his free time watching football tape. He's still a freshman though and there will still be a learning curve, no matter how good he's been at reducing it.

Well let see the line is what 6.5 or 7, so adding 3 or four to that to get to double digits make me a druggie. I'll stick with ND by 14.
First, it was a joke. It said you were smoking something green...then showed a shamrock. Good grief, how do you not get that?

And the line is a betting line. Vegas just needs action on both sides, and that's the number it decided would make that happen. .

And Norte Dame may win, especially if our Fresgman QB plays like a freshman. But your assertion that "ND is just a must better team" is asinine. On second thought, maybe you are smoking something other than Shamrocks.

I don't think he needs to throw any picks for ND to win in double digits. ND is just a much better team.

Just curious, if you're proven wrong, will you show up here after the game or on Sunday morning to eat crow, or will you hide out for several days or longer until things die down a bit?

It is about what he does on the field. To say he has the "it" factor after a half a game is ridiculous.

Fromm is out of the Brees pattern and Eason out of the Elway. Not saying either is as good as those guys, but their style is similar.

Fromm keeps you guessing with quick decisions and release. This makes the o snap.

Eason, like Elway , makes his living in medium to long passing routes. Makes the oline look worse than it is as he needs more time. More three and outs because of lower statistical probabilities for completion but think he beats the odds more often than not.

Two opposite ways to skin the cat.

Helps that Fromm broke many of Deshaun Watson's HS records playing high quality HS football in GA.

Beach is a USC fan, giving an unbiased opinion. Sure he wants the Irish undefeated when USC plays them, but by no means is his optimism on behalf of our beloved Irish any reason for him to eat crow, should things go sideways Saturday for the Irish.

He's stating an opinion, and has been on this board having civil conversations for years. Have nothing but utmost respect for @beachcardinal - even though I've been a lurker the majority of my time here, he comes as the friendly enemy in the rivalry.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this may be the first time I've ever seen a teams fan we're playing in the current week, come to our board and call for a rivalry fan of ours to eat crow if he's wrong on a prediction o_O

Strange times we are in.

I don't know how good ga is, but this ND offense has an NFL player at almost every position. The guys in all the skill spots all have great speed. All 3 of our RB's are big, strong, and fast. WR's are gonna be first round picks. Same with TE's. Same with lineman.

LOL. Sure. I have been here for years and if any one remembers me, they can tell you I am wrong a lot. I don't enjoy being wrong but i know I often am and I am not afraid of that fact.

Do you actually no people who are afraid of making a bad prediction on a message board? If so, you might consider new friends.

I will try to remember that having me admit any errors I make is important to you and post. If I forget post a thread asking me to admit I am wrong and I will co sign it.

Beach, you're only wrong when you predict good things for USC.

You're pretty smart when it comes to ND.

At least, that's my story.
