Dose of Reality

nice juxtaposition of reality there. Any dissent was met with crushing vulgar attack and now you try this?

delusional? when things seen in advance come to pass: delusion or reality?

Whatever they say about ND they can say about UOJ too. Ann Arbor is cool? ND stands for something beyond football unlike the football factories like Bama. How many star NFL players have a degree? Based on the article the USA olympic hockey team should have given up. ND earned its spot in the championship game in 2012 and almost made the playoff last year. With a good new coach just like the olympic hockey team they will win a championship again against an undefeatable foe and Irish fans will be there.

One downside of the Internet is anyone with an IP address is now a journalist.
No sh*t it's hard to win a championship at ND ... it's hard to win one anywhere. Great programs go decades without one. You need a great coach, some iconic players and a few bits of luck and good fortune.
ND has great facilities, excellent education, national following and tv contract, success after football and a huge international alumni network. I feel totally justified in aspiring to win NC ... and we appeared in the finals just 4 years ago and were one or two plays away from playoffs last year.
Now about that great coach ...

[sarcasm font] Wow, this is a fresh perspective, we haven't heard this argument before [sarcasm font]

Man. Why do I agree with the article?because reality is sinking in.

Delusional? I just think when you're there all the time maybe you could win a big game. On top of not being able to do that, with some big time NFL talent, the coach can't even beat Tulsa or Northwestern at home.

The people always going with the delusional take are actually the delusional individuals lacking facts.

Rational fans know the title years are over. The fact of the matter is coach Kelly is not a good coach. He's like 1-10 in big road games. How do you blow that Stanford game last season?

What's hysterical is the argument that; "If ND isn't as good as Bama then they aren't good enough to beat the likes of Stanford or Louisville." Sure, the restrictions ND places on itself will prevent them from being as good as the Bama's and O$U's of the world but there is no reason they can't win 9-11 games every year beating the likes of UNC, NCSt, Stanford and Navy.

Amen. It's just so frustrating reading articles like that. Colin Cowturd gets it less than people like 14-0 bodize.
