First rankings they mentioned that losses won't matter as much as in the past. It was who you beat and strength of schedule.
Then the rationing for the last seeds for putting Bama over Miami was how Miama lost 2 of the last 3.
Last ranking they also stated that any teams NOT playing in the Conference Chapionships will not be reevaluated since no data points but during the whole rankings saying teams in it will not be penalized "severely".
My opinion they forecasted 3 loss SEC teams in the Conference Championships and needed a way "IF" they had one or two then how could they justify a 4 loss SEC team in the playoffs.
SMU deserves to be in over Bama from all the B.S. talk they've done but I won't be surprised if they leave SMU put.
