In the next 3 weeks because of strength of schedule? Playing Wake Forest and BC does nothing to improve our strength of shedule. Even though Navy is now ranked in top 25.
Looking at the Big 12.

Oklahoma State plays Iowa St, Baylor, and Oklahoma.

Oklahoma plays Baylor ,TCU,and Oklahoma State

TCU plays Kansas,Oklahoma,and Baylor.

Oklahoma has the toughest 3 games .This is going to be something . Hope They beat up on each other.

And on top of this, the Big 12 has decided not to hold a championship game in 2015.probably due to being left out of the BCS last year ?

LSU drops out of the top 4 ,but who replaces them this week ? Oklahoma State ,ND , possibly Baylor slips in ?

Big 12 decision to not hold a championship is because there are only 10 teams in the conference. Has nothing to do with the playoff.

You can't really ask this question without taking into account what other teams do. Whether Notre Dame rises or falls isn't solely dependent on who Notre Dame plays and how they play them.

I presume this week ND moves up to 4 due to a solid road win but Ok St will prob be hot on our heels. If all keep winking the next two weeks, the winner of OkSt vs Baylor prob jumps us. Too many possibilities to know what will happen.

Committee needs to look at the entire year, not just last weeks games. Based on the resumes of ND, Oklahoma St. and Baylor over the course of the entire year, ND should move up to fourth.

There are a few scenarios that still have to play out. Domers are posting all possible outcomes within the power 5 conferences. We control only our next 3 games. We need some help even if the BCS ranks us 4th this week.Remembering how Ohio St jumped passed the Big 12 last year .

11-1 ND is in. Playoff committee values strength of schedule and UOJ will be ranked with Temple, Navy and Clemson. When ND plays them Stanford will be top 10.

ND will be # 4 this week. Need to blow out Wake and BC. Make committee see they are a powerhouse. Defense still has flaws . The BIG 12 aside from Oklahoma ( playing and beating Tenn on the road) is a complete joke. IDK what Baylor and TCU did last year . The committee will not reward these teams with 1 loss. IF there is an undefeated team there then that team will jump the Irish. Clemson, Bama, OSU, ND with Baylor and OKState lurking.

don't know where our irish will be this week but I think the game vs Stanford could be a quarter final game to see who makes the playoffs because I see all of the big boys in the Big 12 beating each other these last few games and a one loss irish team will get in over any one loss Big 12 team in my opinion

So only the SOS at the end of the season counts? As some are thinking then teams should only schedule 4 games in November and that be it.

Only way ND drops is if we lose, outside of that we are in the final 4.

Unbeaten teams like Iowa will jump up - they don't play anybody and get all the benefits ..... they had a last second field goal to beat Pitt.

ND will be #4, but probably needs 1-loss champs in the Big 12 and B1G or perhaps a 2-loss SEC champ in order to make the FINAL top 4 and avoid getting Hornfrogged (yes that's a word now) like TCU did last year.

Only the last poll counts!

If one of the Big 12 undefeateds, Baylor or Okie State, ends up undefeated, which means they won several big games in November, they could easily pass us.

it was not just TCU that was hornfrogged, it was the B12; so look out for an 'even up' vote at the end!

If Baylor, playing with their back up QB, beats Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and TCU in the next three consecutive weeks, you're not going to need some crazy outlandish justification to put them in the top 4. There were a lot of people who already thought they were the best team in the country, they just hadn't played anyone to justify it.

btw: ND is playing their backup, backup QB.

why would ND drop in the rankings?
Notre Dame won't drop but very very likely you will be passed over by Okie State. I don't agree with that I look at Oklahoma State's entire body of work and I'm not very impressed. The two point win over Kansas State. A two point win over Texas. I like Notre Dame's body of work better but Oklahoma State is a shiny new toy and it would not shock me if they are passed Notre Dame

Wow, ok state 8th. The committee deserves some respect here. A lot more deliberative then the reactionary, idiotic coaches and writers. Kudos!

I think the committee needs to see sustained performance from OkSt. ND has that at this point...but OkSt has one very good win. String together some more of those and they'll get more from the committee.

ND has put themselves in a position to be in the Final 4 after the Stanford game. All ND can do is win and then let the chips fall where they may. IMHO I just don't see a Big 12 team jumping over a one loss ND team. I could be wrong but I am happy were we are at. Still ALOT of football to be played and there are upsets looming around every corner.

All of these BIG12 teams now play each other. These same teams have played miserable non-conference games. What I the justification that ANY of these teams are any good. They could all be average teams just overrated to begin with in a terrible conference. Does Baylor or OKState beat GTECH, Navy, Clemson, USC and Stanford ??? IMO USC, Clemson and Stanford are better than every team in that conference. The fact that OK State can go undefeated beating TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma is not as strong as ND's schedule . Not even close.
