Heavily favored. Game won't be much of a challenge. And will offer the chance for Adams to get some well needed game time. Rest him up and prepare him for a selfish BC defense.

I could see Kelly doing that. Need him as close to 100% as possible for Stanford

You may be right, but at this point in the season, if he's ready, I play him. ND needs to be the best they can be through the next three games. Heaven forbid a loss in the next two games, but even 10 point wins will not look good. It is time to hit the gas pedal. Yesterday's win is what we need to see, minus the last second miscues that make the game look much more competitive than it was.

Start Adams, but have CJ ready to play in case things don't go as planned early. I would limit CJ's reps this week in practice and get Dexter Williams as many as possible. Have Adams and Williams ready to go for Saturday and keep CJ ready to answer the bell should the game be out of reach early. Wake plays a stingy brand of defence, but I would like to see ND take some deep shots early and mount a lead. I would like to see Adams and Williams get a ton of work in the second half.

Note: We now have 3 offensive linemen dealing with ankle sprains. It looks like Nelson, Martin and McGlinchey are all going to be able to play through them, but don't be surprised if the rushing lanes and the "push" that ND has been getting for most of the year is a little lacking on Saturday.

I would sit CJ. Wake isn't going to beat us, with or without CJ. Need this guy 100% or close to it for Stanford. He's earned a rest.

I've noticed that Nelson and Martin have been heavily taped up for several weeks now and didn't see any ill effects this last weekend.

Most certainly let him rest. Obviously, Notre Dame is blessed with a plethora of running backs and their third team talent should beat Wake by three TD's. Take the weeks preparation seriously, prepare for WF to play their best game of the year, then, get out to an early lead, get the younger players in and stomp them.

I hope CJ doesn't step on the field this weekend. Josh and Dexter are capable. Honestly, I hope we only need Kizer for about 2-1/2 quarters. It would be very beneficial to get Wimbush more reps, in case we need him later on.

I would play him but sparingly, so as to maintain game action timing and continuity. Letting Josh and Dexter handle the bulk of the touches. So not sit him altogether, but on a limited basis

No they're not. ND has one of the smallest depth charts at RB in the nation. It consists of two guys if CJ sits. Follow your team more.

I understand the idea of making style points but I don't think we'll need him for Wake, no disrespect to them (they had a decent run w/ Grobe for a 4-5 year stretch there), but they're not a good team right now. I would rest him & wait to see how it's healing for BC.

Who would get the bulk of the carries after Adams? Carlisle?
Adams gets the most, Williams second. The walk on kid last on his senior day. I hope he ends up with at least five carries on Saturday. Then off to med school.

Yeah you rest anyone who needs to heal up. You are potentially entering your first round of the playoffs against Stanford. Its more than likely a win and your in game for ND. So you have to just win the next 2 games with the least amount of collateral damage as possible. Morgan needs to really get alot of reps against Boston College cause they will rarely pass the ball. Morgan and Grace will be needed down the stretch. It would be nice to see Brown and Sanders get more involved in the offense too. Since they are both dynamic young players who are not redshirting . ND has to come up some more offensive weapons between now and the playoffs. And hope Michigan beats OSU at the big house.

It will depend on CJ and if he wants the record. He has 975 yds rushing and needs 463 yds over 3 games to get the single season rushing record.. so needs 6 TD to tie the single season record..
