Irishblooded, I think this sometimes is the only real distinction between the elite and guys like Ogundeji. The elite DEs already have sufficient size and strength to project as players their freshmen year, while a guy like Ogundeji has to prove he can gain good weight and contribute one or two years into the program. Hope Ogundeji commits to ND today, but hope even more for one DE and one DT who has the potential to play their freshmen year, similar to what I expect from Tillery this year.
This is Holtz era style recruit. Comes to school with linebacker athleticism and size, but weights and eating right will turn him into DE size by his sophomore year, but he'll keep the athleticism.Telx
not sure what my 'ignore list posters' are thinking - but I think this kid is a kid with size, athleticism and plays with intensity. He has tools that coaching can develop; I like this prospect.

Perse, I like him as well, but are you saying he has the size to play and impact his freshman year? The posts here suggests he is another long lean talented prospect weighing in at 215.
Two year plan is basically what Irishblooded was saying. This guys upside is significant, a trait we seem to be seeing a lot this year with our 3* commits. I think Sal stated correctly on another thread that ND has changed their approach and are grabbing high potential three stars, many likely to be bumped up, rather than going all out for the elites, and then be disappointed only to find our plan B guys committed elsewhere. Like to think mission accomplished and we will focus on a few elite DL and try to flip or recruit two.

Tex --If we need this kid to play as a frosh that means - Bonner - Blank - Trumbetti arent good enough . I think we are in good shape having this kid red shirt .Perse, I like him as well, but are you saying he has the size to play and impact his freshman year? Whatever. You know nothing about the game.TEX
We have Romeo's bros as well who is a 444444444 star Staff will likely close on one more DE kid as well .
Solid class this yr and barring a rash of injuries we go 11-1/ 12-0 and have a super class next yr
Lucky
believe, this is a good prospect and a welcomed commit; a better prospect than Wallace or Williams last season. You maybe picked the wrong 3* to 'freak out' on.
16 year old - this kid should be in the 2017 recruiting class - if he develops and stays healthy this could turn out to be one great pick up. Go Irish.Trust the staff. Very happy to get the kid. 16 years old. Go Irish.
