I've posted how many times?
Hopefully he keeps up his 20 yards plus average a carry throughout the season. The Irish Oline open up such big holes that Dexter was thinking "Where is everybody?"
We will find out this week against Georgia -- if ND can run the ball successfully against them, then this could turn out to be a special team and give teams fits in trying to prepare for ND.
Would like to see him get some more carries. Adams is a bull running through the line but Williams is a little more shifty.
In the "what would you like to see" thread Dexter getting more touches was one of my choices. He has excellent hips, body lean and hits the hole better then any other ND back I can recall under Kelly. Idk why he gets such limited touches. Maybe one of the many gurus we have on this board can chime in? Maybe he's lacking in pass pro? Maybe there's simply not enough opportunities for two backs? Maybe he's not good enough as a receiver and that takes him off the field in long yardage 2nd and 3rd down plays?
We have two 1st rounders on the OL. Any decent back can do that against Temple. No knock on Dex, I'm sure he'd agree. Georgia will show us what this team is made of.
