Other news from the Opening is that Shayne Simon said he isn't taking any more visits this summer, but is doing his official to ND in the fall. And wants to decide before the season starts.

No doubt Allen is exactly what you are looking for... Great SS / Rover target that could probably also be a damn good FS if his coordinator plays a lot of split safety coverages. Don't know that I love him as a single high safety, but he has all the other qualities you could ever want.

I was just reading about him at the Opening & I didn't realize he played CB all through HS?

They said he is the smoothest player out there on D & had been covering WRs in drills & holding his own despite the obvious size of a safety.

Said he will be playing S his senior year in HS & already has the size & strength of a college safety.

So he is basically playing CB at the Opening despite his size & strength which will make him a safety in college.

I can actually do the math. It equals ND as the landing spot although even math has a bit of wiggle room with 18 year olds.

We are doing well in safety and Rover (Sam) recruiting. I am so baffled on why we are falling short on CBs. I really wonder if the success of Pride, Love and Vaughn is a factor. Lyght has to be considered as a possible factor as well.

that one handed catch was simply amazing. I don't if anybody is bringing a better safety in the 2018 class that is better than Allen. he has earned his hype because he has gone to the combine events this spring and tore it up against quality WRs

Allen made another "Man Play" this afternoon.

The video will probably get posted. He is among 6-7 guys going up for a long pass in the end zone & he just snatches it from everybody at its highest point. Man among boys stuff.

The UGA game is crucial. UGA is going to have a very good recruiting class. If UGA beats ND convincingly, there will be a lot of pressure on this kid to flip to UGA. He will hear how they are building a National Champion and they need him to be part of it. His hometown listed is just 85 miles from Athens, Ga.
